Chivas
Football
He follows Guadalajara every matchday, win or lose. The Clásico Tapatío against Atlas is the first date he marks on the calendar.
Cooking
Saturdays
On Saturdays the kitchen at home is his. He has carne en su jugo and molcajete salsas down; his birria is still a work in progress.
Cycling
On the road
When the weather allows, he heads out early towards the Bosque La Primavera, west of the city. In the rainy season he swaps the highway for shorter loops around Zapopan.
Travel
On longer holidays he leaves Jalisco. He likes to take archaeological sites slowly, early in the day with plenty of water, and to finish the trip at the beach, at a shaded table with something cold.
An ordinary Saturday
A match in the morning, the market at midday and the kitchen in the afternoon. If Sunday looks clear, the bike is ready the night before.
He doesn't need big plans: the city, a good meal and a route he hasn't ridden yet are enough.
